And for a quick answer, I shipped a big block Chevy motor, complete (
about 800 lbs. with pallet ), from So. Ca. to Chicago for $600. That was by Roadway. I just estimated a big block Chevy long block to Maine, $1000 by Roadway, $600 by Fedex Freight. By my experience with shipping big stuff, Fedex seems to always have a better deal. I'm usually shipping 50-70 lb. bicycles across the country, mostly by UPS or Fedex, on a regular basis. Oh what fun, selling on eBay! Ron Natalie wrote: "Gralmk" wrote in message ... Can some one help me with a ballpark figure for shipping AC parts. What would be a guess fo sending 500lbs from CA to RI? Just looking for a line on the best way to ship parts. If you go to the various trucking company websites (yellow, roadway, fedex...) they have a query page you can put in the details of your shipment and get the price. |
