You don't need to do this Dave,
just download a no CD patch/crack from
http://www.simugoldc.fsnet.co.uk/files/nocd2k4.zip
Many of us have used one since first buying the sim, it appears to be
perfectly legal.
You will find an .exe file inside which you should use to replace the one in
the FS9 main folder. Just put the old one in to a new folder called SPARE or
something similar.
