Make sure you have directx 9 installed...

Make that 9.0b and make sure you don't have 9.0c the beta that is slipping onto systems via SP2 and other beta installs
like Windows Media Player.
Run dxdiag from the start run window.

i ran dxdiag and i do hav directx 9b installed dxdiagcould'nt find any
problems still does'nt run
