Brian,
I had my placards made by Signs Now (local sign shop) They are black
vinyl over white painted aluminum about .040 thickness. I provided the
text, the font size and spacing. $25 later, I had placards to cut out
and place where I wanted them.

Brian,
You can make some yourself if you are handy.
Copy the placards in your pilots handbook on to regular copy paper.
Get two sheets of light plexiglass at the hardware store (Lowe's).
Wax 'em up three or four times with a good grade of paste wax.
Laminate the placard sheet between two layers of light fiberglass and place
the second sheet of plexi. on top to get a nice finish.
West System epoxy is cheap and does well for me, and it's readily available
most every where.
You can use the same process for othe things like operating limitationa
etc., by typing up what you need on you computer.
Stick 'em on with your favorite glue (contact cement?).
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
