Nice Pics Jay H,
Thanks! By the way, that "smallish" 747 that is parked with the former AF1? IIRC, that it is "THE 747." That is to say it is THE airframe upon which Boeing bet the company at the time. Yep. If you read the history of Boeing, you will find that they have "bet the farm" over and over, and come out successful each time. (Of course, the same cannot be said of many other big airplane manufacturers...) Let's hope their current timid reaction to the new Airbus A380 doesn't signal the demise of Boeing's gunslinger attitude. Congrats to the newlyweds as well... Yeah, they should be in Greece about now. Nothing like a 2-week European honeymoon to start a marriage off right! :-) -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |
