![]() Bob Did Juan ever get his BD-5 test hopped and flying? Used to be a lot of yak about the bird but haven't seen anything now for a long time. I don't know the exact numbers but I know the BD-10 program was a complete debacle. And I'm reasonably sure no one thinks it can go transonic without coming apart, which is the key reason it's been abandoned. If the basic aerodynamics were even in the ballpark, it, or a similar aircraft, would be being actively pursued. I have several friends who are homebuilders. They may not like a few of the things i say but they understand I'm not against homebuilding, but the errant notions being sold to people by hucksters and pegboy airplane magazine writers. I suppose if I came out saying Amway was bogus, you'd say i was against using soap. You really must understand, Jaun has two people he worships, one is Jim Bede and the other is Jim Campbell. I would almost bet he worships Jim Jones too. Jaun has never been wrong about anything and if you don't believe me, ask him. (At least he will never admit that he has been wrong.) |

Last I heard he was trying to unload it. I have never seen any report that it has ever flown but I haven't been trying to keep up either. I suspect not.
