The circle in the middle of the HUD calculates where you will end up at current speed, pitch etc. On final the circle was just below the runway but the pilot knew it would rise slightly during the flare. There probably wasn't much doubt. Compare that to a C-172 where you are only somewhat sure where the plane will end up. -Robert
