In a previous article, Dave said:
They should have talked to some users B 4 they built a "touch" screen into a cell phone, - what fun that is going to be! Why? I use the touch screen on my Treo all the time. One of the nifty features of the iPhone is that when you raise it to your ear, the touch screen turns off so your ear doesn't start hitting buttons. -- Paul Tomblin http://blog.xcski.com/ "You are all but subwidgets in a composite container whose logical tab group I have registered the traversal order of. I can merely point at you and your popup dialogue will be unmapped unless XmNautoUnmanage is False." |

What's so nifty about that? There was no problem with the Treo's touch screen. |

Paul, it takes both hands and eyeballs to operate a touch screen
anything... You cannot "feel" the buttons when dialing , often with one hand, and a lot of people do this.... ....pick up phone, dial by feel... I-phone.. may be a "novelity" for those that want to talk to someone on their I-Pod. ....if there is anything left after the Cisco dudes are finished with them.... I've got a Razr, a phone that by any measure has been successful. It is
virtually immpossible to dial by feel with it. Hence I use the voice dial for most frequently called numbers. What I don't understand is why I can't say "Dial 123-456-7890" and have it dial that number. Dave wrote: Paul, it takes both hands and eyeballs to operate a touch screen anything...
