Ken Duffey waxed lyrical : But none of them were doing anything that the Flanker was wasn't doing - TEN years ago ! Except maintaining total control throughout every manouevre Ken! It's interesting to note that for both the Flanker and the MiG-29, during certain parts of the manouevres thay are most famous for, that the pilot is simply along for the ride. Never seen a Flanker even approximate the Typhoon's velocity vector roll. . . . -- -------- Regards Drewe Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity Is that the one where the Typhoon slows down so that its opponent overshoots, thereby putting itself in front of the Typhoon - to be immediately shot down ?? (at least thats how the commentator put it). But isn't that what a Cobra does - and doesn't everyone say that such a manouvre is of no use in combat and that its only an airshow routine? And - at what point is the Flanker 'out of control' ?? and if it is - how soon is it recovered ? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++ Ken Duffey - Flanker Freak & Russian Aviation Enthusiast Flankers Website - http://www.flankers.co.uk/ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++ |
