First on the ground was C Company, 2RAR. Anybody know how many Hercs are
involved in the airlift? I did notice that a chartered Qantas 767 (VH-OGO) took most of the police and other civilians. Photos of the landing on Red Beach: http://www.smh.com.au/photogallery/2...853177265.html Patrol boat HMAS Whyalla and landing craft HMAS Wewak and HMAS Labuan are leaving Cairns for the SOlomons some time today.
