I have come across a small wooden object with the following plaque: G-ACTX Aerodrome Southend Flying Services Ltd Would anyone know what this is commemorating? I have tried Southend Airport, but no joy! Thanks. |

G- ACTX was a AVRO 638 CLUB CADET serial No 718 built by AV Roe and Co (the
firm that built the Lancaster bomber). see the link below if you want to know what it looked like. http://www.jaapteeuwen.com/ww2aircra...ub%20cadet.htm "sanchosser" wrote in message ups.com... I would be guessing the plaque was commemorating the retirement of the aircraft from service. terry ppl downunder |
