Can't help you with housing suggestions Jim...but on a different topic,
when are you guys heading East? I was thinking about another Left Coast convoy. Tentative plans for the Allison brothers is heading East Friday the 20th with the requisite stop at KIOW for the pre-OSH festivities the 21st. -- Jack Allison PP-ASEL-Instrument Airplane "To become a Jedi knight, you must master a single force. Not a problem; we are also thinking about Friday departure. HOWEVER, my
friend, bedpartner, and co-conspirator got REEEEL nervous when we apparently crossed paths somewhere around Elko, reported to each other the same altitude and GPS location, and still couldn't see one another. She got REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL nervous when the four of us were in a loose gaggle towards OSH, reported the same information, and still couldn't see one another. We're going to have to find a way to address that problem. Jim "Jack Allison" wrote in message ... Not in a day where I leave the house at 6 am and don't get back until 10 at
night. Gail is in Boston and I forwarded your email to her about midnight last night. I was waiting for her response before I answered you back. Jim "Rich S." wrote in message . .. Jim ........... Do you not answer regular email? Rich S. |

I know your "rule" about responses about technical matters being preferred on the group. This one, however, was more personal and I didn't really want to broadcast the particulars. We're going to be using it next year and it'll be nice if there's a room available for us. Rich S. |

She got
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL nervous when the four of us were in a loose gaggle towards OSH, reported the same information, and still couldn't see one another. We're going to have to find a way to address that problem. I remember that well, Jim, and agree that it was unnerving. Since then, I have done the gaggle thing several times, and the trick seems to be to maintain visual contact starting at departure. As a I recall, we tried to "find" each other after departing Iowa City, and that proved quite difficult. (Although the rest of us did catch sight of each other -- we just couldn't spot that pretty blue 182 against the sky, I guess? ) Perhaps we should assign a "buddy" to fly with, someone who you keep in visual contact with from taxi to airborne? If I watch you, and you watch Jack, and Jack watches Edwin, and so on, we should all remain safely in sight of each other... -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

Thanks for all the info, gang. Right now it looks like a B&B in Waupaca and
a rather inexpensive rental car for the hour drive. Don't give me that "wussy" crap, Honeck, remember I've got well over 20 years on you {;-) Is the Apollo suite available Saturday night? Jim |
