Default Hard Water Deposits

I've got the same problem and have also considered what the deposits
are doing to the water meter. Maybe there could be a water filter
added to the supply side of the meter. Other than the meter I'll bet
the fabric softener would do the trick for the glider and the valves
etc. I used to use that in my swamp cooler and it worked great for
that too.
