Fabulous! Three pilots in the family. Will you give Joe equal PIC
time on Atlas? ;-)

I don't think he can afford the hourly rental rate...

;-)

Seriously, he's gonna be hard-pressed to afford to stay current in the
FBO's Cezzna 150. Until he's out of college, and working a good job,
I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up having to hang it up for a year
or two.

But, hey -- he's got it in his wallet. THAT was the important part.

And he's still talking about possibly pursuing flying as a profession
-- so he may go on and get his IR and CFI.

Free BFRs!

:-)

They may be no-cost, but they'll NEVER be free: "C'mon, dad, how many times do I
have to tell you...." :-)

You're going to let your kid get his instrument rating before you do?

Seriously - congrats to him!

I'll pass that along.

Wouldn't it be cool if he got his CFII, and I finished up the rating
with my son as instructor?

Spooky/cool...

What would be cool is if your =daughter= got her IR and CFII, and you
did it with her.

Yeah...until he has you doing push--ups on the flightline for screwing up.

You might want to start planning ahead by providing a discount on those
hourly rates. Otherwise, those could be *expensive* BFRs.

My sons are 5 and 2, so I'm watching you with no small amount of envy and
anticipation.

And congrats to the new pilot.

Don't worry, Andrew -- your 5 year old will be turning 17 in (what
seems like) about three years.

I swear to God, I just taught Joe how to ride a 2-wheeler. Now,
today, I just got back from my first ride as "passenger" in "his"
plane...

So how'd he do? What was going thru your head? I know your heart was
swelling with pride!
