But Anthony couldn't possibly be trolling, right? Just because he will continue to participate in threads like this one, while simultaneously claiming that he comes here to discuss aviation: not trolling at all, right? But that's another unsurprising thing about Anthony: he's a habitual liar, and he does that repetitiously - and, let's face it, manipulatively - too. Oh, I don't think he's trolling. (Not intentionally, at least; I suppose you could debate as to whether doing it unintetntionally is really "trollign".) I think he just suffers from a weird combination of posting style and inability to back down in any circumstances which makes him inadvertently look much like a troll. The difference is pretty academic, I'll freely admit. Well, only fromthe trollee's POV, I suppose. Bertie |

Then why isn't everyone with a PC and Internet connection rich? In at least one case, the cause is being a whining, feckless, excuse- making loser lacking the ability to take initiative and do what needs to be done, instead of posting tedious, whining, off-topic junk to an aviation newsgroup, while bloviating and lying that the whining loser's intent on participating in the newsgroup is to discuss aviation. These traits of such people tend to indicate that they are quite stupid. |

Continuing to make feeble excuses for being a failure is easy, and is a trait common among stupid people. Actually, it's a trait common among depressives, especially more intelligent ones. It's unkind of me, but I don't like having depressives among my workers, and do all I can to prevent their being hired, or if hired, encourage (strongly encourage!) them getting professional help or getting out. A little depression with one guy can actually reduce the effectiveness of a team. Who needs that? I run a business, not a social services company. |

Holy smokes guys!!!!!!
I went out of town for the July 4 holiday and caught up today with this incredible psychological thriller! A grad student could write his Masters thesis on Anthony! (Or maybe someone already has!) I usually don't get involved anymore but couldn't help but come out of the Lurker's Closet to say that this is the most fascinating stuff I have EVER read on the newsgroups! Truly amazing. And Anthony...I also live outside of Washington DC....not too far from Mike Ash (who I have never met). Washington is a beautiful city. While summers can get humid, winters are far from cold. An inch or 2 of snow is a rare event. Excuses, excuses. OK...I'm going back to my Lurker's Closet now. Pls continue. --Jeff |

An inch or 2 of snow is a rare event. Excuses, excuses. Indeed. This summer has been really great so far. I don't think I've turned on the air conditioning more than half a dozen times so far. You want to talk about bad climate, I used to live in Wisconsin. Just as hot and humid as DC in the summer, and tons of snow and ridiculous cold in the winter. Whereabouts around DC do you live? Reply by e-mail if you don't want to broadcast it, I post with my real address. -- Mike Ash Radio Free Earth Broadcasting from our climate-controlled studios deep inside the Moon |
