Olc flight posting from ipad

Someone has to figure out how to get a flight log from a logger into
an iPad and then how to post the flight on olc.

only handle some types of image and video files. It's a pretty garden

Even then there there may be application data sharing issues. We'll
have to see. I'm kind of surprised this one gets past the Apple garden
wall.

There are third parties like Redpark (http://redpark.com) making
serial interface hardware that should make it easier to allow
developers to integrate RS-232 in their application, that opens the
door more to applications that will talk to loggers etc. over RS-232.

I think the better question is how to get the files to an iPhone so
you can post right from the plane. I guess a 3g ipad would work the
same way. Has anyone tried the SD readers for the iPhone? They are
pricey.

Actually it is easier to do with old PDA technology. With the right
PDA and OS (such as my 4700 with WM6.1) I can upload my winpilot (or
SeeYou Mobile) generated IGC files directly to OLC with few clicks
using the OLC mobile page

No problem downloading from the glider or uploading to the OLC from
either of the Motion Computing tablet PCs I've owned either.

The winpilot website say's that they're developing software for the
iphone and ipad, maybe it'll be able to upload the file.

Will probably buy the zoomit and see if that works.

Looked at motion computing and it's much more expensive than the ipad.
