I will travel to New Zealand for business and leisure in November 2011. Any hints where I could have 2-3 gliding days? I have checked Omarama, waiting for their response. We welcome foreign pilots at the Wellington Gliding Club, located at Paraparaumu, 50 km north, on the coast. In November we don't yet have our 7-day summer operation open, so it's weekends of by arrangement. It's not hard to get an instructor and tow pilot to turn up on any day if someone is ready and willing to go flying! We don't have any good single-seaters as club machines (just a PW5), but few people complain about the two DG1000s. |
