Back when I got my first PDA, I emailed Navitar with some questions
about See You Moblile. By the time I got an answer, I had installed
and had been using XCSoar for a week, and found it did everything I
needed. They also have a forum, and I've never had a question un-
answered for more than 24 hours. It's also free, and I'm a cheap SOB.

SoarPilot is free and has the best product support I have ever
experienced. Plus it is fun to assemble an awsome GPS nav computer
out of a bunch of free junk! I like the Oudie but there is always a
couple of guys at every pilot meeting scratching their heads and
trying to get the Oudie going. I have never seen a SoarPilot user
staring blankly at the PDA screen.

I couldn't agree more.
With all my years behind a PC and software used, I have never
encountered support anything close to that of SP.

For example: I had a problem. He customised SP, JUST FOR ME, and
posted an updated beta within a few days.

Most questions get answered within hours, not days. And this is done
for free.

It's just sad that such a great piece of software is slowly dying as
Palm OS is dead and ancient.

Could it be the pilots willing and able to use SoarPilot might be more
computer literate than those of us that choose SeeYou Mobile?

Guys,

It's August, Europe is on vacation! They always take August off, all
of them,
except the Brits, this year they're having Riots! What's with that?
They don't usually get so upset about anything!
