I fabbed up an arm rest/control tube cover yesterday for the LH side
of the cockpit. It will hide the control for the flaperons and airbrakes PP tubes and also work as an armrest. I can use fasteners to attach it to the aft cockpit structure and to the sidewalls of the seat pan, but where it rides up against the sidewall of the fuselage interior there isn't any way to add threaded fasteners. I did add a nice flange that follows the inner fuselage skin contour. I'm wondering, would a strong Velcro work for this? The unit needs to be removed occasionally so I cannot permanently attach it. Thanks, Brad |

Thanks, Brad You might look at 3M Dual-lock. It's a heavier duty version of velcro https://www.bindingsource.com/Produc...FQ40hwod7V1dBA Sounds like you could also bond a pocket into the fuselage bottom for the flange to slip into (sounds like a lot of work) Craig |

Hi Brad - Snaps work great. Bottom part
is riveted to the glider, top is fastened through the fabric. Used for Antares interior. Look for "Fabric Snaps" at McMaster-Carr. See ya, Dave |

Good morning or good evening depending upon your location. I want to ask you the most important question of your life. Your joy or sorrow for all eternity depends upon your answer. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good | Excelsior | Home Built | 0 | April 22nd 05 01:11 AM |
