Great post Frank. Thanks. I would not know how to do the feel 911 on my Spot Connect. I'll give that a few moments tomorrow before flying in Ionia. Fly safe!

Good advice and something to think about Frank. Skydive centers and mail order services can sell you a pair of skydiver goggles that fit over glasses. They come in tinted and clear...if you bail out without your glasses secured they are going to depart your face pronto. These should help keep them on your face during a crash/rapid deceleration. Here is a link but there are others..

Glad to see people like Frank and Mark designing safety features that
are helping out our sport. I can only imagine the nightmare of being
stranded in the trees with no way out, just hoping that someone will
find you. Without a Spot Tracker you are completely at the mercy of
others to find you, a needle in a haystack.

Absolutely no excuses anymore, everyone needs a Spot Tracker. I'm
ordering mine right now.

Or, better yet, all 3.
Each has a unique benefit the others don't have.

Just curious, did the ELT get activated in this case?

Pete
