ASW27B spar shrinkage

I've been told that if after 5-6 years it has not yet developed, then it is safe to think that it will never really become a problem. I had the wings on my 2003 -27B sanded after 3 years and nothing has come back. It was kept in the desert in case that makes a difference due to heat or lack of humidity. 9B
