Default WinPilot Windows version

I know that the WinPilot developers have been busy developing their Ipad/Iphone versions but what is going on with the Windows versions?
It has been over 18 months since anything new came about especially their unique and frankly superior aviation database updates. There is a new version of the software available (for a price of course) but it is no diffrent than the previous one.
The Iphone version looks interesting but still a far cry from XCSoar's Android which is a free app by the way.
How does one support a "pay me system" when one gets nothing for return?
The WinPilot has been a solid product for me over the years but it is worthless without the updated aviation data.
I would appriciate some opinion(s) on this.

It appears that Jerry has decided that customer are not important. I
have asked for simple upgrades for the last two years. He feels that
the software is good enough. I decided after racing this year with
WinPilot it was time to move on to an other software program. I still
think WinPilot has some features that are better than the others but
the weaknesses that he refuses to address are a deal breaker for me.

For sake of conversation Tim, what software are you moving to?

I have flown with ClearNav and SeeYou Mobile over the last few
months. Still evaluating hardware and software but leaning towards
SeeYou Mobile for the flexibility of the software. I have flown with
WinPilot for the last seven years but finally gave up on hopes that
the software would be upgraded.
