This is related to soaring though not directly related to gliders.

A group of pilots and citizens are trying to preserve Point of the Mountain for flying, recreation activities and environmental reasons.

Many of us have flown here when we flew HG's and those of us that fly gliders in UT fly near or over this area.

Please join the cause

Thanks for posting. Like many local soaring pilots Ive spent countless days flying the point. Will also see where the City Council is on this.

Probably not applicable to this location, but many people have had success shutting down local government weanie-crats by having the FAA remind them that all the federal dollars they accepted committed them to keeping the field open for X years.
