March and early April have produced some good thermal and ridge days, and glider pilots in Region 2 have taken full advantage. Of particular note are three flights around the course in 1-26s. 18 year old Daniel Sazhin currently has the overall lead on the South course with two completions, while Old Toad Ron Schwartz has one completion on a very tough day. So far the team race is between Brandywine Soaring and Aeroclub Albatross; we hope to see Philadelphia Glider Council and Valley Soaring in the mix soon. Of course, Morgantown, Beltzville, Van Sant, and Wurtsboro pilots are also welcome to join in the fun.
