Just go fly with an instructor. Join a club and become active in it. This is fun so go do it.

....And when you arrive in Las Vegas, head on down south on I-15 to Jean and
look up the Las Vegas Valley Soaring association. http://lvvsa.org. They're
a fun-loving group!

There are no old men in soaring. From what I've seen, it is a fountain of youth, and if you're under 60, they call you a kid.

Steve,

If you are going to a club near Cincinnati, it's probably ours (Caesar Creek Soaring Club, Waynesville, OH). Drop me an email at 'paynterf{AT}gmaildotcom

Steven, drop us an email anytime, we can get you started on some reading material before you start flying.
When you get to town, come on down for a visit. We are there every Sat and Sun, weather permitting.
Our email contacts are on our web site. Www.lvvsa.org

And welcome to sunny Las Vegas!
Bill
