Great contest with a group of great friends and pilots.
This is one of the best soaring sites in the US for pilot and crew comfort. Noelle, Rex and all the crew from Williams and Montegue made it a very relaxing and comfortable place to fly. The help and supports between pilots and crews was phenomenal with volunteers to help with several complex retrieves readily available. Challenging conditions on some days for tows were handled by a great line crew and outstanding tow pilots. Every gliderport should have a nice lawn area with trees to mingle after flights with great snacks and libations. Dale did a great job with the task committee to use the most of each soarable day. Some tasks were challenging but that is what you expect at a nationals. Well done! Tim (TT) |
