Well, since the generators on the early Continentals were identical except for
the geared end to the Chevy and Buick generators of the early 1940s, and since I'm sure that C-85 is powering an airboat, I'd take it to a shop that specializes in automotive generator overhauls. We've got one here in town (Motor Electric) that does all my "airboat" work. They also have sources for modern solid state regulators for those old doorstops.
