Kevin,

I bought a store demo GPS from them a few years back. Turned out
later I was also drawn for their (at the time) monthly give-away and
got an aviation receiver for free. I believe I later bought a headset
from them. Good folk, were very friendly to me.

Jay? Is that you?

I have purchased headsets from them and a portable gps. Fast delivery
and best price I could find. Since then I have had them do a
complete panel upgrade on my plane and was extremely happy with their
thoroughness and customer service.

Does anyone have any experience good or bad ordering from Avionics West?
They have a lower price on the Lightspeed 20XL2 than any other place I've
seen so far, but as some of the stuff on the page looks a little outdated
(reviews for products not in production etc..) I am a little nervous just
ordering on the fly. Anyone have comments on quality and speed of service?
Customer service? Returns? I looked at resellerratings.com, but they were
not listed... any comments welcome...

I've been a customer of Avionics West for four years. Excellent
service, every single time. Tom Rogers, the owner, runs a tight ship,
and will take the time to answer questions and explain things.

I can recommend it without any reservations.

Note: no kickbacks, just a happy customer.

Yes, I bought a Yaseu handheldd from Avionics West. I called up to
confirm that it was new and ready to ship; got a cheery woman who
assured me it was. I said okay, I'll go back online and order it. She
said no need, just give me the information, so I did. It arrived in
the customary time and was indeed in its original packing, all
warranties applicable, etc. I'm still using it on a weekly basis (it's
my only radio).

(Before I ordered, I asked here for experiences with Avionics West,
and did get a couple, both positive.)

all the best -- Dan Ford

I'm in OZ. Bought a GPS196 from them and didn't like it. Exchanged it for
a GPS III Pilot, they credited my account, no problems. Only hassel was the
three way shipping US-OZ OZ-US US-OZ - costly, but that was my fault. Dealt
with Kathi Pfifer (sp), I think she's still there - pleasant and efficient,
I'd have no problems buying from them again.

Cheers,
Kevin
