Avmap 4 GPS - anyone knows anything about it???
On 11/23/2005 3:58 PM, Peter wrote the following: I am in the UK. Oops. All that NACO stuff is not much good, then. Yes, there are various Tablet (WinXP) devices. Some of the 800x600 ones are compact enough, but then (for European coverage) one has to run Windows based software, which usually looks poor in 800x600. Yes. I am waiting for a small form factor 1024x768 screen from Motion or someone. "LS1000" maybe. If you are thinking about this route, be sure to test fly the computer screen. I have an HP TC1100 and it is very difficult to read in the cockpit, though I think it is as good as other non "View Anywhere" screens. I think you will want the view-anywhere type design. (The AvMap IV screen is excellent BTW; a friend just bought one and I got to play with it a bit.) HTH. |
