Do I need to be nice to Jim so that I can get a good deal on my type rating? I guess I [snip] What is "sloshing compound"? See http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo.../sloshcoat.php or similar. It's a coating inside a fuel tank to 'fix' leaks. The tank I got from Wentworth had the coating inside and it was peeling and flaking off. I didn't check for that when I picked up the tank. Once it starts peeling off, it's difficult to get the coating all removed without taking the tank apart. -Greg B. |
