Default Stalking the elusive Type Certificate

I have some questions about the FAA Type Certificate (TC). My questions are not about the Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS). Typically, the TCDS refers to the TC.

I have never seen a TC.

Here are my questions:

1. What does a TC look like?
2. Are copies of the TC available to the public?
3. Is it referenced by the same identifier as the TCDS?

I have the same questions about the EASA TC.

Looking forward to enlightenment. Thanks.

There is an FAA Website that has them. Here's an example for Duo Discus. Not all gliders have a Type Certificate in the US (as I'm sure you already know).

In the US it appears that you are looking for a Form 8110-9, if the following link is accurate: http://www.astech-engineering.com/sy...tcprocess.html I did a quick search and found the blank form, but it wasn't very helpful and I couldn't find a filled in form 8110-9.

Whoops - this is the main search page where you would start:

EASA sample here. http://www.windpath.ca/index.php?opt...&id=4&Itemid=4 for the Perkoz.

Simple certificate with a signature from your FAA equivalent.

Thanks, Dan. That's the Canadian equivalent of what I am looking for, and I suspect that the FAA version looks similar. I wonder why they can't be found? Perhaps there's only one copy in a vault in the basement in Oklahoma City.

I'm curious as to why you are looking for this.

No particular reason. The mind tends to wander this time of year.
