$57.64!

Yeah, it's not an aviation GPS, but so what? It stores 100 waypoints,
dozens of routes, and costs less than I paid for dinner last night!

If you can stand listening to the 'Save Big Money At Menards!!!!' jingle
while you wait in line, it might not be a bad deal.

Unfortunately, there is no Menard's store located near me. However,
the same Lowrance iFinder Go GPS is available here for $68.00 on-line:

http://newsite.pagecomputers.com/sto...ct%5Fid=709728
Now you can enjoy an easy-to-use, 16-channel waterproof compact
GPS+WAAS handheld packed with features. Includes 32MB of built-in
memory with mapping detail

I guarantee they won't have any. Just about every time I go into that
store, no matter WHAT I want, they don't have any.

Menards is a biggggggg sore spot with me. Rant on

I once needed some contact cement, just a small tube or jar, to glue some
weather trim onto a door. I got interrogated for 10 full minutes about what
I needed it for, what I was doing, "no that won't work", did you look in
this isle or that, and "nope, we don't have anything like that", lead around
the store like a sheep with a lost sheep dog, then finally sent to the
flooring cement department for a gallon can.

Yet, I've also had the opposite happen. Find something on the shelf, take
one to an assistant saying that you want more, but it's too high. The guy
actually told me they didn't carry that product! I told him I got it off
the shelf, and there's more up higher and I just need some one to get them
down. "I'm SURE we don't carry that here, are you sure you didn't buy it
some where else?" WTF?? are you insane?? He acted like I had stole it
from another store and brought it in there. Totally bizarre.

Hate the place. Worst part about it is they are the closest home building
supply store, I have to drive right past Menards every time I go to another
store that actually HAS what I need. I hope they get fined again for
another couple million for dumping wood treatment chemicals into the river.

Sorry I hit a nerve. I don't love the store, but...

We literally (and I mean this 100%) shop at Menards on a daily basis.
That's not an exaggeration -- sometimes we're there TWICE per day.

When you buy a 20 year old hotel, you danged-well better make sure that
there is a well-stocked home supply store less than five minutes away.
There is always SOMETHING breaking...

What I've found, is that if you can replace something with a new something,
the Menards will have something that will work, and usually cheaper than
anywhere else. But, if you want to fix something, they fall short.

When we built our house, we gladly drove 60 miles to get to the nearest
Menards to buy light fixtures, bulbs, electrical and plumbing anything. Now
that we have one only 15 miles from our house, we've found that, when
compared to 2 other local building supply stores, they simply fall short. I
send employees after things for the farm, since Mendards is the closest,
they always stop there first, and always buy PART of what they need, never
everything they need because they don't have it. Drives me crazy, wastes
their time.

HOWEVER guess where I'm sending Tami Friday at 6am??? LOL Megan drops
her CD players enough that I can no longer keep up fixing them. $9 each
will keep her bopping and spare me the frustration. May even grab a couple
to leave in the plane at that price!

Have a safe trip tomorrow and a great Thanksgiving!!

I'm heading to Menards this Saturday. It's 50+ miles from here but it's the
only place in the area to get decent prices on some building materials. It's
next door to a Home Depot in Mankato so if Menards doesn't have what I'm
looking for or need, HD will...

Jay, you really ought to find some other hobbies!

Have you ever thought of taking flying lessons and becoming a pilot?
It might be more expensive, but it wouldn't be as time consuming!
