dimensional stability of composites
Currently, the PIK 20 E canopy is too long for the gap.
The inability to force the canopy closed made me wonder if loading the fuselage in bending over a winter might cause deformation. In the PIK trailer, if the cradle does not take the weight, the nose cone and tail wheel could be supporting the fuselage. Anyone knowledgable about glass/ carbon fibre composites know if this could cause enough distortion? John F |

If you think the fuselage is being distorted, then adjust the trailer nose cone, down a tad. More likely the gap wasn’t correct when canopy was replaced. Should have 1/16” gap forward and aft with shop temperature 65f.
