Someone asked me a question about my SPOT that I couldn't answer, and
it's a darn good question. I searched the findmespot FAQ's and this forum but didn't find an answer. If your SPOT tracker is turned on in stand-by (ie. not tracking mode), can the device be actively pinged for its location? The scenario would be that you are MIA but didn't activate the Help or Emergency buttons. Can you be found it the device is simply turned on? This assumes of course that you have a clear shot to the satellite. Thanks for any input. FC Norton HpH 304CZ (FCZ) |
