thank you so much Rogue
I was staying up the road from the base whilst travelling back from Finland to the uk on my mbike. I had a pleasant time around the area and was surprised to pull up at a junction next to a Phantom gateguard with Richthofen squadron markings. I then went to find the base and rode up to the main gate and got surrounded by guards . All was fine when i explained i was from UK and was a Phantom nut .
