Caracole Soaring Wave Camp Opening Weekend for 2010

A Presentation and Tour of the ATC Facility at Edwards AFB

This is an opportunity to see how local ATC handles GA,
military and local glider area traffic in the Southern Sierras.
Emphasis will be on the use of glider Letters of Agreement,
and procedures for wave flight access into Class A airspace.
A procedures presentation will be followed by a tour of the
working 'room' while FAA controllers handle air traffic
from Baker Grade to Beatty to Bishop to Tehachapi to Victorville.
Questions will be welcomed prior to entering the ATC room.

Glider or airplane pilots are welcome to attend. Persons should
RSVP to Caracole Soaring, and attendance will be limited to
forty persons.
RSVP to or 760-373-1019.
Attendance at Wave Camp is not required.

Attendance is free, and the carpool departs from California
City at 2:15 pm. Drivers intending to drive onto Edwards AFB
must have their driver's license, registration and auto insurance
documents for presentation at the north base entrance.
Exit may be made through any gate after the presentation.
