A few years back, an ATR42 tunisian (I think) crashed in the sea a few
hunded metres north of Sicily, becouse some clever mechanic had changed erroneusly the fuel qty gauge of the 42 with a larger one of a 72, so the pilot was sure to have fuel to reach Tunis, but he run dry half way killing if I'm not wrong 40 people.
