The Spot II does not have bluetooth, but the PN-6W at http://blog.delorme.com/2010/01/06/d...communication/ uses a similar wireless protocol, IEEE 802.15.4, described at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.15.4-2006 Unfortunately, hand-held devices with that capability are incredibly rare, and certainly not as cheap as bluetooth-enabled devices.
