I have never flown in the mountains, but how do you know where the
down drafts might be?

first, you read all the books. Then you go out and fly a lot! Or,
just jump on a plane and come fly with me and I'll show you. If
anybody is actually interested in wave soaring, I highly recommend
registering and taking the mountain wave course he

You've heard of a video going viral? Well, my video is not doing that
well. It's going fungal. 250 views in a little less than a day.

Actually, we prefer not to fly IN to mountains. It works better to
fly over or around them.

Where are the downdrafts? Let us know if you find an answer.

We've got FIVE volcanic peaks that we regularly see and soar around
and a few more just out of range.

Wonderful video Gary! You are a lucky man to have an 11,000 ft volcano
in your back yard. Keep the videos coming. We need more inspirational
videos like yours that portray the essence of soaring and less techno
chit chat.
