Anyone have any inside knowledge and able to explain what this means:
"A new superior display is being developed in parallel to make sure the user experience and features of portable PowerFLARM and the ‘Brick’ with remote display are the same." Superior to what? Is this display in some way better than the portable unit display, or it intended as a replacement for the Butterfly 57mm display that is, or was, optionally available with the brick? I had always believed that the standard display being offered with the brick was a re-packaged display/control from the portable. Now I doubt that assumption was correct. Andy |

Hi Andy
Your assumption about the display unit being a repackaged display/ control unit from the portable is surely not correct. I had been looking into building my own "brick" from a standard portable. But the architecture of the portable does not allow that (easily). You can find some images of the portable internals on my webpage. https://sites.google.com/site/threeuniform/powerflarm (The source of these images is the documentation for the FCC license application) 3U |
