Painting an Archer

Group question RE Painting the Plane.

I'm located west of Cleveland, Ohio. I've heard good things about Sky Harbour
in Goderich Ontario. Any comments or suggestions for good shops closer?

There was a paint shop at Carroll County (south of New Philly) that had
a good reputation.

Had my Baron painted at Dial Eastern in Harrison County airport. They are
top notch, and were the highest rated shop in Aviation Consumer. I have
nothing but positive comments regarding the quality of work and attention to
detail.

We have a guy on the field who is painting his with a roller! I just
hope he gets the flight controls balance or he'll end up a smoking
hole in the ground.

on an Archer? I don't think balancing flight controls is critical on an Archer,
but that's just your standard usenet-variety opinion. I don't know anything.

I'd expect a plane painted with a roller to look like crap, though.

Haven't you heard the textured look is the latest craze in paint
schemes? I'm gonna do mine in stucco if I ever get the chance! g

Not only that, frost *smooths out* the wing surfaces! No more waiting to
fly in the winter!
