I'm contemplating a seaplane rating, and I'm sure I'll eventually get one, but does it work much the same way that a multi-engine rating does (a.k.a. you have the rating, but few, if any, insurance companies are comfortable with you soloing the aircraft). Any info would be greatly appreciated on this. Thank you David Its very hard. That's why none of the sea schools have you do any solo. No insurance co will even write sea plane insurance for an FBO that allows pilots to fly w/o CFI. |
