Just read Franks post on Soaring Cafe (yesterday's and today's) and sit here shaking my head. Following Frank's account of the story, the SSA gave the Spot tracking 'business' that he had developed with his partner to another party without even contacting Frank. Mark Hawkins and Frank had the business idea, got things started and provided a real service to the racing community only to be kicked in the groin by our own association?
I'd like for someone at the SSA with knowledge of the situation to comment and to try and remove the bad taste that this leaves with me and I expect with others. We are such a small group that relies on those who take initiative and create something useful. SSA, please give us right here on ras some answers, thanks. Herb, J7 |

Herb, can you post a direct link to the story in question? I'm not
finding it at the soaringcafe.com website. Thanks, Bob K. |

Hi,
You can see the note by Frank he http://soaringcafe.com/2013/03/2013-...nals-rest-day/ I agree with Herb 100%. It is outrageous that the SSA would do that to Frank and Mark. I believe that Frank had formerly donated some or all of the income from Condor cross-country soaring training to the SSA. That has stopped - and I don't blame him one bit. In general, I'm a fan and supporter of the SSA, but this situation has me angry at the SSA. Paul Remde _______________________________ "Bob Kuykendall" wrote in message ...
