New DeLorme inReach SE with color screen and virtual keyboard

Hi,

Today DeLorme announced the new inReach SE (screen edition). It uses the
same data plans as the inReach for Smartphones and offers the same tracking
and messaging functionality. But whereas the inReach for Smartphones must
be paired with a smartphone to send "free-form" text messages, the inReach
SE has a built-in color screen and virtual keyboard which can be used to
send free-form messages. The inReach SE can also be paired with
smartphones, if you want to use the free Earthmate App for viewing
topographic maps and NOAA charts.

The inReach SE will be available sometime in April and will sell for $299.95
($50 more than the inReach for smartphones).

Customers that want to "keep it simple" may prefer the inReach for
smartphones - since the buttons on the front of the unit can be used to
initiate tracking or send SOS or one of 3 pre-defined "inReach messages".

The new inReach SE is a bit narrower and less deep than the inReach for
smartphones, but is a bit taller.
