Thank you Indrek, there's some great stuff there. All it lacked was an Avro Arrow, but perhaps you're saving that for later! ;-) Regards, Ri©ardo -- Moving Things in Still Pictures! |

I passed a sign for Avro Arrow Road in Nobel on the drive down to Hamilton. I think there was a design office there that dealt with the Orenda engines that were to power the Arrow. There is also a full size model in a museum in Downsville or somewhere similar in north Toronto. Some years ago I posted a couple of pictures of a surviving Arrow nose section in at the Canadian Aviation Museum in Ottawa. The conspiracy theorists think that one example of the prototypes escaped the scrap man's axe. That will have to do in lieu of an actual example of the aircraft. I enjoy taking the pictures and sharing them with others who have similar interests. There are quite a few more that I will post as soon as I have time. I have been busy competing in a sailing regatta this weekend. Cheers, Indrek Aavisto -- Criticism is easy; achievement is difficult W.S. Churchill |

LOL Cheers, Indrek Aavisto Yes, the film about that was on our TV a few months back. An interesting view on the apparent wrecking of Canada's then innovative and potentially world beating aircraft industry. Ri©ardo -- Moving Things in Still Pictures! |
