My friend bought the variometer and not the audio/battery box and has asked me to help him find it on the internet.
Can anyone here help me with this? I have searched, but it seems the unit is old and no one is that interested in them anymore. He wants it to complete a kit he has been working on for some time. If anyone has a DIY kit for building this box, I may be able to use that to help him too. Please email me? Thanx! |

I also have a Ball vario (702) with the battery(s) inside. I like it's response and the back-up nature of having a fully self-contained unit. No audio, but I would like to get a schematic for the audio portion. I pulled the unit apart and looked at the PC board briefly. It looks like the unit uses an output from an OpAmp, probably a voltage, and creates the audio tone from that.
Does anyone have details they can share/send? Mike |
