Flight in progress, see SSA Sailplane tracker or SPOT link. This came through my email earlier today. Looks like good cu field over the rest of the route now and should be picking up more of a tailwind as he gets into PA. My untrained eye on the satellite sees wave potential from the PA ridges too. Go Man Go!

John Lubon departed from Alexandria, Indiana, at 12:22 pm with the declared goal of flying to Bedford, PA. At this point he is just passing Springfield, OH. Follow his progress at:

http://share.findmespot.com/shared/f...NCuposYaCb Xk

If John is successful this will set an Indiana free distance record and a record for distance to goal.

Dan Reagan is driving the retrieve vehicle and providing support.

John landed at Bandel field south of Pittsburgh.

The ground in Ohio is very wet, I cant imagine conditions were
that strong but that wont stop John Lubon!

Great flight!

Hey Joe, "very wet?" When was the last time you came to the field? I was up yesterday for a trustee meeting, and I swear you could put a boat on the field and go skiing! Heard that John was trying a straight out flight over us, and most of us would have sworn he wouldn't make the Ind/Ohio state border.
