Default Mt. St. Helens...WOOHOOO!

Flying from Troutdale to Pullman this afternoon. This might be the coolest
flight I've made so far!

Well, it did erupt. Although I could see the mountain clearly and was
looking at it at the time, I did not see any ash or steam during the
eruption. Probably it was just too hazy. We were between Shelton and Tacoma
Narrows at the time.

Watched it from the office window. Guess there was ash, but, typical of the
old girl, the plume was dust in the wind moments after the vent. Mostly it
looked like a thunderhead over the crater, but it didn't last as long.
