Default airshow crash

Mort,

Take a look at this story. This happened to an SU-29 that went into a spin.
I thought these planes can recover from almost any spin. What do you think
happened?

The Su29 is easily recoverable from spins both ways under normal
circumstances if altitude, pilot, and aircraft condition permit this
being accomplished.
Why this happened will be the subject of an accident investigation. It's
appropriate not to speculate this early in that process.

Prior to doing this .. did he do any kind of an abrupt pull up to
reposition? The
reason I ask is last year at an aerobatic competition one of the pilots who
bobbled a manuever a little admitted to several of us watching that after
doing
a spin and then a very steep climb imediately following the recovery he
actually
blacked out for a few seconds on the way up just prior to starting the next
maneuver.

This crash is just a sad deal and will sure need to be investigated. Just
something it reminded me of.
