Can some one help me with a ballpark figure for shipping AC parts. What would
be a guess fo sending 500lbs from CA to RI? Just looking for a line on the best way to ship parts. Thanks RAL |

If you go to the various trucking company websites (yellow, roadway, fedex...) they have a query page you can put in the details of your shipment and get the price. |

And for a quick answer, I shipped a big block Chevy motor, complete (
about 800 lbs. with pallet ), from So. Ca. to Chicago for $600. That was by Roadway. I just estimated a big block Chevy long block to Maine, $1000 by Roadway, $600 by Fedex Freight. By my experience with shipping big stuff, Fedex seems to always have a better deal. I'm usually shipping 50-70 lb. bicycles across the country, mostly by UPS or Fedex, on a regular basis. Oh what fun, selling on eBay! Ron Natalie wrote: "Gralmk" wrote in message ... Can some one help me with a ballpark figure for shipping AC parts. If you weren't already aware of the classification codes for shipping, it
doesn't really matter the weight as much as the item's classification. If you mark it "avaiation" anything, watch the cost meter spin. Car engines are the cheapest, next to textile looms. See what 150# of scrap aircraft parts cost? There is a hint buried in this. RTL "Ron Natalie" wrote in message m... "Gralmk" wrote in message ...
